I caught my friend’s BF CHEATING, and that wasn’t even the worst part!
My friend flew to New York for work and asked me to watch her cat. I stopped by her house expecting no surprises… BUT then I heard voices. The bedroom door was slightly open, so I looked inside and froze.
It was her boyfriend with some RANDOM CHICK! And they were kissing… right there, in HER BED!
I was shocked, but that wasn’t even the worst part. Then I heard them talking.
HER: “I can’t believe she actually FELL FOR IT. Honey, you’re so smart!”
HIM: “Babe, that STUPID WOMAN doesn’t even know! Listen…”
Jeez, I gasped TOO LOUDLY, hearing every word spill from his mouth.
The Escape I slapped a hand over my mouth and ducked behind the door frame, my heart hammering against my ribs. “What was that?” the girl asked, her voice sharp. “Just that stupid cat,” the boyfriend replied, dismissing it. “Anyway, like I was saying. She transferred the $20,000 for the ‘house down payment’ this morning. Once it clears tomorrow, we transfer it to your account, and we are gone.”
My blood ran cold. He wasn’t just cheating; he was robbing her. My friend, Sarah, had been saving for years. She thought they were buying a condo together.
I pulled out my phone, trembling, and hit record. I managed to catch him saying, “Sarah is so desperate for a ring she didn’t even question why I needed the money in a separate account. By the time she gets back from New York, we’ll be in Mexico.”
I tiptoed out of the house, praying the floorboards wouldn’t creak. Once I was safely in my car, I called Sarah.
The Plan “Don’t panic,” I said, my voice shaking. “But you need to call the bank right now and cancel that transfer.”
She was hysterical when I played her the recording, but she acted fast. She flagged the transaction as fraudulent and froze the account. Then, she booked the next flight home.
The Confrontation When Sarah arrived the next morning, she didn’t come alone. She brought her brother (who is a 6’4″ linebacker) and the police. We walked in just as he was waking up—still in bed with the other girl.
The look on his face when he saw Sarah standing in the doorway was priceless. “Babe! You’re back early!” he stammered, scrambling to cover himself with the sheet. “This… this isn’t what it looks like!”
“Save it,” Sarah said, her voice icy calm. “The bank transfer is cancelled. I know about Mexico. I know about her. And you have exactly five minutes to get your trash out of my house before I press charges for attempted fraud.”
He left with his tail between his legs, carrying his clothes in a garbage bag while her brother watched him like a hawk. The “random chick” ran out before him, refusing to even look at him. Sarah is heartbroken, but she still has her $20,000—and she’s damn glad she found out now rather than after she signed a mortgage.
